Hey There Campers,
Many of you have reached out for an update on the campground with regards to the current Ice Storm and Rain. Kim and I arrived a the lake last night before it began and this morning I went out and inspected the campground and all of the sites. At this time, there has been no damage however the pine trees are loaded with ice and it would not take much wind to break a few branches – I have trimmed some already. We are hopeful the warmer weather this afternoon will quickly melt it.
That said, most of the roofs are in good shape with about 9 inches of wet snow and ice and so are the 3-season room roofs, if there are any major concerns, we will reach out to you directly. If however you have a gazebo, it will be important you pay attention to the roof’s, they are not designed to sustain the heavy weight of wet snow. I will be reaching out directly to those i have identified that need to be cleared off.
The campground is very wet – there are large puddles in the snow, if you decide to come up please keep that in mind – that’s the type of snow that just walking through it can cause a heart attack and we want to see everybody in the spring. Please don’t forget to register with the proper link below.

When enjoying occasional winter access to the campground, it is required for insurance purposes that you register when at the campground in advance whenever possible. It is important to remember that there is no water and minimal access for 911 services when at the campground and that the gate must remain closed at all times to avoid unwanted vehicles.
